Thank You Graham

Today, we had a presentation for Graham Barkman who recently retired from the Museum Trust.

Chairperson, John Low, described Graham's many achievements. Graham joined in 2006 and held the positions of Display Manager and Publicity Manager simultaneously. He was active in all aspects of fundraising and started the Friends of the Museum. He also put together storage shelving for our photographs, archives and large maps.

His wife, Betty, was a key player behind the scenes. She knew a lot of local history which was helpful in putting together displays and provided homemade baking for different events.

On behalf of the Museum Trust, John presented Graham with a framed certificate of appreciation. Afterwards, we enjoyed a nice afternoon tea.

We miss Graham hugely but thank him deeply for all the time and energy he put into the Otautau Museum. We wish him all the best.

We're open Wednesdays and Sundays, 2pm-4pm, and by request. Your comments are always welcome!
